Blaster questions
#1
I am looking for a 2nd quad and don't have a ton to spend. I would like a small sport quad for woods riding and the blaster seems to fit the build. (I am not looking to race it and I don't need the fastest thing in the universe). My question is: Is this a reliable and quality built quad? would a Avg. rider enjoy this quad for a decent period of time or will it grow old quickly?
If I end up trying to buy a used one is there any special I should check (weak spots). Also what can I buy a new one for? Is $2800 possible?
Thank you!!
P.S. right now I have a 01 Rancher and love it but would also like to have a "sport" quad to ride when my girlfriend wants to go.

You could find a new one or a 2000 model for that much or less. I use my blaster for woods riding and the only thing that should go is the clutch but they are cheap and easy to replace. Some of the trails I ride through are so tight, the tires rub on trees on both sides. Plus, blasters are inexpensive to hop-up. You can get performance parts for very little money.

I have a 2000 blaster and my biggest complaint it the breaks. The front are just junk and the read will stop you, but you cannot feel them very well. The oil injection system is ok, but I took mine off and premix. Other than maybe some reeds and tires the blaster is great fun. I beat the crap out of mine and the engine still runs as strong as day one.

84 PA, no kidding. I was born and raised in Venetia(when it was still the "country"). I end up in the area quite a bit now because my parents still live there. Is there any good (legal) places left to ride in the area? (I can always toss my quad in the truck)
Thanks

Ther are about a dozen places around. I get to some of them by riding the tracks that go through Finleyville. Most of them aren't legal, but eveyone that lives around there won't call the cops. Nothing to bring you're quad up here for unless you're coming up anyway. About 3-4 places are within 1-2 miles of Finleyville itself.
