Default 2010 Big Bear bogs down when diff locked...

Has anyone else had this problem? When I lock the differential on my big bear and give it gas it bogs down and acts like it not getting any fuel. It has done this twice now once when I was trying to pull someone out of a muddy water hole and once when I was churning through a pretty deep and muddy hole myself. The second time, after throttling up all the way just til it almost died several times, it finially throttled up correctly but only the left front and both rear tires were spinning. I let off the gas, unlocked the diff, and pushed the right front tire with my foot and it finially started spinning. Can anyone think of a reason for this behavior?

Default rev override

Have you used the rev override button on the left handlebar? That is to allow the quad to rev up when the diff is locked...if you don't hold this button the quad will cut out so that you aren't riding normal trail conditions with the differential locked! Try to the override button and see what results you get. As far as the differential actually locking in, I never had that issue on mine...when it got real cold, it would occasionally not want to do 4X4 at all...good luck and try that override button!!

Yeah. The override doesn't help either.

Is there something that could be getting wet and causing it to act like this?

Sounds like the overide button is not working when you press it in,look there for a bad connection, switch or dirty lose connection.

Most ATVs safety precaution with diff lock is the ATV will only go into diff lock in low range. The Big Bears use the override since it has no low range.
