I was wondering if any of the magazines have done a shootout of all the high performance quads.Raptor,DS650,400ex,Banshee,250r.If so what quad won the top speed and drag race.Any info would be appreciated.

 

It wouldn't matter if they did because everybody would say the magazines are all full of crap, they don't know how to test, that the only reason that they chose their winner was because of advertising dollars and of course the "my stock quad does at least 90 MPH so I know the magazines lied".

 

That shootout has been done in every magazine, each mag had a different outcome. Speed always went to either the DS or the Raptor, depending on which one you read.

 

I think the Honda 400EX won the overall award.

 

quadfather: true the speed did go to the raptor or the DS650.. BUT, the 400 ex's handling made up for its loss of speed in EVERY magazine.. the DS or the Raptor usually JUST edge out the 400 ex

 

Someone in the Honda forum posted that there was a sport quad shootout in the April issue of ATV Sport...

For the best overall I believe all the magazines say for the money the Raptor would be the better choice. For the desert they would say the DS650 would be better cause of it's size. The 400EX did better on tight, small tracks, but the Raptor would still stick right with it.
