New Grizzly 500 purchase suggestions
#1
I have been doing some research and think the Grizzly 500 is my best option. I see there is $1,000 cash back on 2011 and older models if I can find them. Any suggestions on getting the best price on a new 500? My local dealer tends not to negotiate very much.

when I bought mine back in May I went to 4 different dealers one was willing to negotiate and the other 3 were not they were rock solid not budging on prices at all (even prep and setup fees) so I ended up driving 45 minutes one way to save almost 1,000 (got quad, helmet, battery tender, goggles, oil change kit for 6272.93 out the door tax title everything) other dealers wanted 5999.95 + tax, title, prep, and the accessories totaling 7049.16 out the door so the drive made up for the difference in price plus some. 20 in gas to save that amount I would do that any day LOL

Depending on how far you're willing to drive, do a dealer search on Yamaha's website and call around to see if you can get a better price. In my experience, most dealerships won't give you anything decent over the phone, but there are times that they realize they can sell a quad to someone a distance away who isn't going to buy from them otherwise. Meaning I can sell this guy a quad at a discount or I can not sell a quad. I bought my 02 Grizzly within the first month that the model debuted in 2001. They were in demand and nobody local would really budge off the $6999 MSRP. Some were selling over that because they could get it. I made a bunch of calls and ended up driving 270 miles one way to get it for $6399. Granted gas wasn't $3.50 a gallon back then either but still. I figure the dealership thought they could make a sale and move stock, and me being so far from them, I wasn't going to be a target customer for any other reason anyway.
