I may be wrong... but I would say a Scrambler 500 would be the fastest 4x4 quad

The 400 Xplorer is the fastest utility quad out there, period. If you just mean the fastest 4x4, it is either the Scrambler 400 or 500.

Arent quadrunners the slowest of the big 4x4's? My grizz went about 63 by the speedometer so i would guess it was actually about ten mph less , and i know that they are faster than quadrunners

No way will a quadrunner do 60 or 65. It's quick and has a strong motor, but my Grizzly has more top end. Top end on the Grizzly is just under 60.

I am a wolverine 350 2000 owner. My friend is a 500 Scrambler 2000 owner. With the same skill level. His bike is faster.I have rebuilt my bike with a 10.25:1 wisco . I put the exact same wheels and tires off the kodiac he can still out run me. ( not as bad) My bike is now a lot faster than before. I harescramble my bike. Sunday ride my bike. Do utility work. It's hard to beat the wolverine. It is really a simple bike. You don't have to worry about the chain falling off. You dont have to worry about the belt slipping. The kodiac will out pull my wol.( only in low) .The wolverine will make you glad you bought the bike I'm glad I got mine.

Not that this is in the same catagory or anything.. but I had an old polaris 350l 4x4 2-stroke and that thing for the size of it went like mad.. Would smoke my buddie on his AC454 easily... what a bomb.. the 2-stroke smoke just a-rollin... what a beast... I wouldnt recommend them though.. but it was cool.. just figured I'd throw that in..

Yeah, the 500 Q-runner tops out at 55 ,,,that is stretched out as far as it'll go.

If you are really wanting to go fast give up on all quads and get a dirtbike. I know lots of people will say I can outrun a dirtbike here and here which is true. But overall there is not a quad out there that will come close.

I don't know much about this type of quad, BUT, I have a friend that just bought a new wolverine.. and he said that he wishes he would've either gotten a pure Sport bike, or a pure 4x4. He said it's harder than H#ll trying to sell a sport utility. He also said that he didn't like the Wolverine because it was too highly geared..Like I said, I don't know... but, You can't go wrong with either of these quads.. I am sure! Later!

grizzlytim and lighting,
My uncle own's a 1998 quadrunner 500. I think I know what the bike will do and it won't do. It is not the best mud bogger, cuase of the ground clearence. It got alot of horse power. I wish it had more ground clearence.
