I have not had a problem with overheating in the woods...maybe it's just me. A product called water wetter will lower your temps when added to the radiator. As will a larger radiator from toomey.
Puresport bandit tires in the rear and holeshot xc's up front seem to provide me with all the traction I can ask for. (unless your dealing with a mud bog)
I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket for a bit better low end take off. Shortened my swingarm by 1 inch. Extended the A-arms 1" forward and 2" wider. You may wonder why I went wider for the woods. But the difference in stability is amazing and I rarely ever run into a spot where I can't fit the quad through the trees.
The mods changed the geometry of the bike perfectly. It does not feel nose heavy at all. Jumps nice and level.
The most noticable improvement was the works shocks .....triple rate w/res for the front and ultracross for the rear. It really seems to soak up the hits just fine.(I weigh about 170)
Good luck with the banshee...they are a mean machine if taken care of. Keep up with oil changes..clean the filter(prodesign)and chain..you will be happy.
