Default Yamaha Raptor 350 fitting in truck

So I'm buying a 2005 Raptor 350 tomorrow at noon. I have no clue how to drive an atv so I have a couple of friends coming to ride it around and make sure its ok. The only problem is that my truck bed is very small. Its a toyota tacoma 2010 with a six foot truck bed. So the length will be perfect to close the gate but the wheel wells stick out about 2 inches where the quad will have to roll up the wheel wells and then the ATV wheels wont even hit the ground after they are past the wells. I already bought a ramp to drive it into my bed, but do I need to build a platform made of plywood so the atv will rest on that instead? Or is a trailer the best way to go, but I dont really have the space to store both an atv and a trailer.

Any advice for a very new beginner is great.

The suspension will compress enough in width to fit between the wheel wells. My warrior fits my 2010 frontier, and my sons 700xx fits in his 2000 frontier.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sport quads have been fitting in the bed of smaller trucks forever. The Raptor 350 isn't exactly a wide quad in stock form. You should be just fine.

As the others have said it will fit fine. Just make sure you tie it down so you don't smash your back window, don't count on it being ok because it just fits with the tailgate up it won't hold it enough
