Question Raptor or Warrior?

I was wondering... i live in southern ontario and i want a atv for both trail and race and one that would be reliable in both catagories... what should i get a warrior or a 350 raptor?

Basically the same quad. I had a Warrior good trail bike. Racing maybe not so good a little under powered. But a rock solid trail bike. For more of a race bike get a z400 or 400ex.

The Raptor 350 would be better for racing because when you sit on them the Raptor sits better and feels more aggressive than the Warrior. The Warrior feels more like a cruiser than a racer.

I don't know what kind of racing you plan to do but a Warrior or a Raptor 350 is not a great choice to go racing on, they are more for trail riding. There are some stock Raptor 350's that race here locally on the motocross track, and while they did surprise me at how well they did, they were really slow compared to the others. The suspension just isn't designed to handle that kind of abuse.

If you want to dragrace, prepare to come in last there, too. Years ago I had a stock Warrior that I drag raced here locally on the 400' dirt track, and while most of the time I didn't win, I still had a blast.

i agree with all the above. warriors have a wider seat and a more utility feel compared to the raptors. but neither would be ideal for racing unless your gonna do a complete overhaul. so raptor if your gonna race but either would be ok for the trails, tho i find the warrior more comfortable. but if your gonna race try a 400 or larger if you got the extra bucks. and both are very reliable pending on what year you get. if you get a 25 year old quad that has had little upkeep then expect frequent trips to the local parts dealer. ive been there many of times

I would agree with above also, if you are doing any racing I would not get either of those quads. A Honda 400 or a Suzuki Z400 would be better all around bikes and not much more money. I personally would rather have a Honda EX 300 than a warrior/raptor 350 as I think it has a better suspension.

If reverse is important to you then you have to take that into consideration as well.

Good luck
