95 Wlverine oil cooler
My95 Wolverine has a busted up oil cooler, and I`m looking to replace it. Seems they are rather har to find, and quite expensive,so I`m looking for a cheaper option. I noticed that many of the other Yamaha oil coolers seem to have similar looking fittings,I`m wndering if I could mae something else work. Making up a mount is no big deal,as long as the fittings are correct. Anyone know if Yamaha uses the same fittings on their oil coolers? If need be,I could always ut the ends off and use a universal tranny/oil cooler with barbed fittings, but I'd rather leave them intact. Any info would be most helpful.

My guess is the oil lines to all Yamaha oil coolers are the same size and fittings ,if not any auto store would have adapters couplers to make it work.
You don,t need to stay with Yamaha there are many add on oil coolers for less money Atv Oil-cooler Kit,Buy Quality Atv Oil-cooler Kit from Manufacturers and Suppliers on Alibaba.com
You already have the oil lines from the motor which is the only hard part.
While you at it you might as well go to a larger demention cooler then your stock one.
The oil cooler on my 2007 350 Grizzly is much larger then the oil cooler on my old 1989 Big Bear which both have the same 348cc motor as your Wolverine.

When i modded my 95 Wolverine engine, I wanted more oil cooling, i used an oil cooler from a 400 Kodiak, it was an 8 pass versus the 3 pass stocker. top mount is the same, I just fabbed up some brackets to bolt it to the frame on the bottom, put some expanded metal as a grill in front of the open area to protect it, the fittings bolted right up, and you have over 2.5 times the cooling capacity. With a bigger cooler, you may need to add a few more ounces of oil to keep the level in the crankcase at stock levels.
