Default 2007 Big Bear Carburator Removal

I need to pull my carb and clean it because it won't idle without the choke on about a third but I all the videos I've seen were not really specific to my make and model. My question is whether I have to remove the gas tank to get it out? One the smaller quads my kids use to have it was a pretty simple task to get the carburator off without removing anything but the carb itself

I had same symptom on my 2004 Big Bear. I loosened the carb from the air box and head, and rotated it 90 degreees, so I could clean it without fully removing it. I had to really work on the idle jet with a wire, carb cleaner and compressed air to get it clear.

My 2000 big bear wasnt too bad to get the carb out of. I could take it out without removing anything else from the machine.

Pulling the tank is really not that hard. I have a Kodiak, and I was scared at first, but just jumped in and was surprised at how easy it came off. So I would give it a try, because you have so much more room to work with.
