I bought a 94 yamaha kodiak 400 the push botton doesnt work on it but when i connect the hot wire and ground to the battery without pushing the start botton it tries to start i have to choke it then it starts up fine anyone know why the starter does that for? and anyone know why the push botton wont work.

i have a kawasaki klf300 i put a newer 250 motor in it and i only have spark when i let off the starter button

 

Its a 1994 i dont whats going on with it
