Fan power problems...

My bike is. 98' grizzly 600... It's my moms 4wheeler everyone has rode it hard and wrecked it many times including myself so I can't bSpam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word too much....I'm trying to fix it up for her and its had a toggle switch for the fan for many years. I want to get it back to how it's suppose to work... It has no power to the wires in front. I checked continuity I'm the relay and its good... Also checking power with a test light I hit the white wire and the fan kicked on... Since the test light was giving it a sort of ground would this'd an the ground is bad? I was also trying to check continuity in the thermo unit and it was good . To be clear the thermo unit is the plug on the left side in the top of crankcase? I'm gonna try to check continuity in the wires also...
