Default yamaha moto 4 350 - worth buying?

Guy text me from Craigslist and said he has a Yamaha Moto 4 350 2X4 all i want to do is fix it and make some money (or so i hope)
Says the timing chain is loose replaced tenstioner. (he did have head off also) this thing may be junk i realize that
Wants 250 bucks (this is WAY to much i think?)

If i get it at a good price spend 75 bucks +- fixing it what could i possible sell it for. Assume its in decent shape and runs good when I'm done

I could part it out and make $1000 if the motor was missing. Rear axle, rear diff(Pinion/Ring set is $650 new), 4 front A arms upper and lower, seat, wheels,.
With motor, Stator($) flywheel and starter, recoil, carb and CDI.

$250 ,I,ll take it. The rear diff will get me that back alone, the rest is gravy.
The 350 Moto 4 (Big Bear) was produced for a long time so there are lots of parts buyer and many Yamaha parts fit on other different model ATVs.

I had to buy the pull starter assembly for my 350 Big Bear and it cost me $200 because no one on ebay had one used. I also gave a guy $50 for a used lower A-arm.
I do not own The 350 Big bear ATV anylonger but I,d would of been your best customer. LOL

This guys looking for a 350 Warrior CDI (Same 348cc motor) http://forums.atvconnection.com/clas...e-cdi-box.html you could get $150 since their $350 new.
Here is a guy selling just a used 350 rectifier for $65 and he will get it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-BIG-BEAR-YFM-350-WARRIOR-YFM-350-RECTIFIER-REGULATOR-USED-/300968616469?hash=item461320a215&item=300968616469&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

I paid 1400 for a 95 Moto 4 350. It's my first and only 4 wheeler. It's a 2x4, and I love it. It was in excellent condition when I got it though less than a year ago. It's still in great shape and I've put a winch on it and all new tires and a new carb. I freaking love it. It will go through most anything with good tires.

A 2wd with a winch will go more places then a 4wd without a winch.
