87 warrior starting
I have 1987 Yamaha warrior i just picked up not running.
When i picked it up the owner said it needed a new stator but after checking it out i noticed a jumper wire on the starting system cut off relay so i disconnected it i tried to start it but there was no power to the starter button so i hooked it back up and it turns over great using the starter button but seems to have no spark
i checked the pick up coil Resistance and reads 188 ohm and the source coil resistance reads 308 and according to the manuale it should be in speck but not sure if thats right .
so not sure what to do next or why the starting cut off relay has to be byepassed
on the relay they have the blue white wire jumped to the yellow black wire not sure if this is why i dont have spark or a diffrent problem .
so any ideas would realy help thanks
