1998 Big Bear 350 4x4 - Oil drain plug stuck
#1
I have a '98 Big Bear and I'm attempting to change the oil for the first time. Unfortunately, I've found that I'm unable to get the drain plug out. I've tried, with a 19mm socket, to the point that I've begun to round the bolt head. SO, I stopped and will resume next weekend with more intel, hopefully.
I've been reading around and I've found two suggestions so far:
1. Apply heat for a couple of minutes - I have a propane torch that I could use to apply heat to the plug. Is this a good suggestion or bad?
2. Tap around the edges of the plug with a hammer to try and jar loose whatever is stuck.
I would appreciate any input on these two possible methods of attack as well as different suggestions entirely.

Just go to Sears,Harbor Freight and get a set of these sockets. You don't have to buy expensive Snap on tools for this. I got a cheap set at Sears on sale for about 15 bucks few year back and worth the money to have in the tool box..
