Question Is it ok to haul a trailer with an air cooled Yamaha big bear 350

I have a 1988 Yamaha big bear 350cc it's air cooled. Has trailer hitch and rack and I want to know if it is ok to use it for work such as hauling a trailer or equipment. It is air cooled so do I have to worry about over heating the engine?

Thanks

Depends on the loaded weight of the trailer/equipment. How far/often you plan on tugging with your BB?

The big bear also has a oil cooler to help cool things down and a low range for towing. Atleast my 89 did.
I worked that one hard without a problem.

Of course you can haul a trailer with it. Tolerances are typically a little looser in an air cooled motor to help deal with heat issues. Any motor can overheat, just don't overload it and be reasonable about what work it will be doing.

Ya man, need more info if you want anything more than just general tips, unless you already think you know what the answer is and you're just looking for something that will justify the use you'll be putting your machine through.

I moved a pop up trailer around with my old 325 trail boss. Now it was a smooth and hard surface too. Loose dirt and I'm sure I'd have just dug a hole. Didn't move it far either. Maybe 50 ft at the most.

I wouldn't call it a stupid question, but some more information would help get you a more accurate answer.
