Kodiak 450 Rear Shock
#1
I have a 06 Kodiak 450 and just noticed the left rear shock shaft was snapped in half. I was looking on ebay for kodiak 450 shocks and either they seem to want to much or it's not what I need. I found some cheaper Grizzly 660 shocks, and was wondering If the rear shocks for them where the same length as a 450 shock, or If the grizzly 450 has the same shock. Just looking for cheap alternatives.
Thanks, Turbo.

I think the 660 is different since the 450 IRS has 7.1" suspension travel and the 660 IRS is 9.5" of travel.
The Big Bear IRS model has 5.9" of travel so it will not work.
My Grizzly 350 has the same 7.1" IRS as the 450 Kodiak/Grizzly.
But who knows many the shock eye holes are the same size and using the 660 shocks will just give you greater suspension travel.

$94 from these guys.
But the 350 IRS is not a common ATV that was not produced until 2007 or in the numbers of the 450 IRS ,their were many more 450s Grizzly/Kodiak made for a longer period so you chances of finding a used shock will be from a 450 most likely.
You can also find out if the single shock of the SRA can work since the travel on those is also 7.1" like the IRS versions.

I just found and bought a used pair of 09 Grizzly 350 rear shocks to put on the kodiak. Ebay didn't have crap really posted up for rear shocks, I got the 350 shocks for $40 bucks, the ones for the kodiak were like 50+. Anyways, Thanks much.
