I have an idea. I've got some contacts within the plastics industry and have had several discussions with them about my idea.

I'm considering having them reproduce all the plastic components from my Raptor.
I will have to make a minor change, so that I don't get in trouble for duplicating Yamaha's design. The change can be very minor, such as have the front fenders come down lower (would help keep us a little drier) or (shape the rear fenders a little different) you understand my point.

What I need to know is what colors people would be interested in. White is my first choice, as it would not show scratches, as well as not show the stress marks other colors do. I may even have the plastic produced out of a bit different material, to help in not showing scratches and stresses.

At this point I have just sent them a bunch of pictures of my plastic and am discussing the different materials to use. At some point I will take my plastic to them to make the small design change, allowing them to create a mold.

Next... What colors? The more exotic the more expensive!

Your input will be helpful in getting this project off the ground.
Thanks !!!!!

If you are gonna redesign the rear make sure they come down lower so you can hang off the bike more. Just a thought, Purple or green would be cool colors or mystic.

chasman,

Thanks for the input!
I'm unsure what you mean by making the rear come down lower? Would you mind elaborating a bit?

Thanks again.

As it sounds, I can get this plastic done at a very good price.

I thought I would get a larger response from the Raptor owners. I can't be the only one who has stress marks or scratched plastic, that would like to have a much different color.

Am I?

My vote would go for white, solid black, yellow and I liked the suggestion for chrome. That would just look crazy!

I'd say chrome (or gold, for that matter) or total translucent would be awesome (but you'd have to keep the bike always clean).
Green Kawi is sweet.
Does anyone make chrome banshee plastics?
