Default 2007 Grizzly 450 - Normal to get fuel leakage from Carb drain if ATV way off level?

Have a new to me 2007 Grizzly 450 - very low hours and miles. Noticed a few days ago some fuel leaking out carb drain hose after using and then parked in garage. Former owner had not used ATV at all (25 miles on it!) but stated fuel was new and always ran stabilizer in the fuels.

I ran some sea foam thru system and seemed to have solved the problem, except yesterday when was out in woods steep inline and kind of got hung up, got off and checked carb drain, noted that fuel was coming out drain again. When got back to level ground and in garage no issues.

Is this normal when carb is way off level to leak some out overflow?
Or do you think I need to pull carb to see if something in float chamber causing the needle valve to stick?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Normal for this to happen. In an incline the fuel in the bowl can reach the overflow tube and drain out.

Thanks for the quick response.

Should it stop once drained down to level of overflow tube??

or

Depending on float position can fuel continue to run out??

Thanks again.

Once on level ground the fuel level should be below the overflow tube. If fuel continues to drain out, then the float may need to be adjusted or a needle and seat may be worn/sticking and need to be replaced.

Great info - I will monitor overflow and see if any more issue before pulling carb.

Hopefully the Seafoam cleared up my original leakage issues.
