95 blaster high rev problem
#1
I have a stock 95 Blaster that hasn't been started in about 6 months. When I pulled it out to fire it up and take it for a short ride down the street, it did fine... Until I put it in natural and let it idle for a minute. All of a sudden it started revving super high and I had to turn it off In fear the motor was going to blow up... Any ideas on what's going on? Thanks

Most likely a lean condition from an air leak. Could be an intake boot, head gasket, exhaust manifold, maybe even just dirt in the pilot. Is it repeatable? You did the right thing killing it, that high idle can be bad for 2 strokes.

Thank you, I put it back on my trailer after I had the problem. I haven't started it since then. I will make sure to start it up today and see if it has the same problem. If it does at least I will know where to start looking. Thanks again Scooter86
