You cannot be serious.

A Raptor is good for 72-75 MPH on top, a CR500
87-90 and it gets there much quicker.

For top end I think the YZ426F is close if not equal, and I am sure it dose ok in a Drag.

Before anyone says it, I know the YZ426F only puts
out between 46-50HP(thats what I have read in dirt bike and M/X mags not my own figures)look at
the dyno readings for the YZ-F power all over and
one screaming Red-Line.

I suspect the Husa, Husq and KTM big bore 4strks
do just fine as well.

But A Quad vs what is most likely the Quickest and
Fastest M/X bike?

The CR500!

Not much of a chance.

The easy win reminds me of a real story. It was some years ago (mid 80s, I think), in the belgian mx championship. During a championship race, the leader was so far away in front, he stopped to the bar (during the race!) drank a beer, got back in the race, still first, and won. Did anyone say humiliation?
I think that's what would happen with a 500CR vs Raptor. Even compared to a 125, it's hundred times faster. When I was riding mx (on a 125KX), I was trying to do a 60 foot tabletop (no big deal on a bike, but I was small), had to take some momentum "far away", and wold barely reach the landing 9when I became better, things got easier). Anyways, I was practicing this jump, when this guy on his 500KX (THIS is the baddest 500) came out from the side, it looked like he was 10 feet from the tabletop, nailed the gas, and jumped the tabletop. I was pi$$ed. With no place to accelerate, he just jumped the tabletop. I couldn't believe it!!

I think you are wrong No2StrokeBs. The baddest engine ever in a dirtbike is the 500cc powervalved two stroke that kawasaki puts in one of its dirt bikes. That thing is a F**kin beast!

ironically gentleman (ladies if i need to say that),

My nephew has a 99YZ250 and I have a 94 Banshee, both modified, and in a straight away we end up about even, but usually I am pulling away slightly...so how you can say a 125 will smoke a banshee needs to lay off the crack pipe....

I have seen a YZ125(y2k) beat a banshee in a drag race, but it was in grass, banshee just spun through the first 3 gears, then he decided to the let off the throttle about 5 feet down the strip...that was a nice YZ, but i would like to see him go against the banshee on pavement,he would get a new *** ripped for him.
