now i know the banshee has a very snappy powerband but lets say if you were trail ridding and you needed some serious low rpm tourqe would the banshee have it? or would it have a heck of a time to get it moveing? the reason i ask these qeustions is i wonder how powerfull the engine/tranny is. lets say it's got the usual pipe, jet kit, airfilter combo with a good set of tires.
thanks.

The Banshee isn't that bad on low-end torque. It's no 4 stroke but if you gear it down a notch on the front sprocket it is OK. There isn't really anyplace you can't go that any other sport quad could go but it does take more work and you need to keep moving air over the radiator to keep cool.

low end torque? it ain't got much. ut since we're talking trail riding, you won't notice it.
It could be annoying in rythm mx sections, where you need the power now, not 1/2 second later. If you have seen Huevos3, the part in BC, where Wes Miller (the gold and red 250R) jumps the drop...that a thing I would have a hard time doing on the shee, caus under the powerband, the front end will go down,a nd in the powerband, it will spin, there should be a very little power spot that would allow to do like that...but...

as long as we're talking trail riding, you will always have power.

I don't believe there's anywhere a 400EX or Warrior can go that I can't, but it does take a little getting used to. The way the powerband works is that you have about the power of a 200cc 4 stroke until about 1/4 throttle when the powerband kicks in. Then it fires up and you're screaming. That can cause wheel spin if you're not careful with it. This slight difficulty is well worth the trouble, when you feel that sudden jolt of power you'll either fall in love or wet yourself.

just get one, you will like it. it has plenty of low end. it just makes the lowend seem like so little because when the power comes on it really screams.

it will be fine, i doubt you will have a problem with letting out the clutch or anything.

dont worry about it.

I was worried about the same thing. I kept thinking that the banshee would be crappy on low end. I bought one and my worries have past. It has plenty of low end in my opinion, just use a little clutch no problem. The powerband is very fun!! Can't beat it.

I had a banshee set up for woods racing. I had no problem. The powerband can help you if you know how to ride it. I literally rode it like I stole it in tight woods. Hill climbing was no problem with about 10 ft. of entrance trail. So the powerband was all I had to go off of. 10ft.= no get up speed.now my banshee has since dearly departed me(Blew up) and i have decided to get a 400EX(Stop throwing tomatoes!!) and I actually am fearing it because I only know how to ride 2-strokes. Trust me, if you set it up right, tight woods will be a walk in the park!
