Grizzly Snorkeling Techniques
#1
Fellow Grizzers,
I am currently working on snorkeling my 2000 Grizzly. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has already done this, and how it was done.
I know there are a lot of additional small line to snorkel, but I am curious to know how someone else routed the tranny exhaust, the tranny intake, the engine air intake and the engine exhaust. Any information good or bad could be very helpful.
Thanks as always,
Yammer_Hummer

YamaHonda,
Thanks for the directions to your friend's briefcase. That is exactly what I was wanting to see. I have spent many hours trying to figure out the best way to route all of the snorkel lines aroune the engine, exhaust, shift lever, airbox...
I would like to ask some questions directly, but could not find a badmudder2001 address on Yahoo.
Please provide an address here, or just send to my e-mail.
Specifically, I would like to know where the flexible hose was purchased, how some of the connections were made, how the lines were passed through the fender, how was the connection to the airbox made, was the filter relocated...
As you can see, I have some detailed questions. Of course this is only if your friend has the time to respond. Work as good as the pictures showed should not be kept a secret!!
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to complete the snorkels before a big ride in two weeks. The place is called Deepwater for a reason.
Thanks a bunch,
Yammer_Hummer

Anyone,
Please take a look at the flexible hose used for the snorkels on the badmudder2001 picture site. Can someone please let me know what this product is called, how much it costs and where to find it? It looks like the air intake duct on my car, but not exactly.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry I don't have Bad Mudder's email address, but he is on the Highlifter website quite frequently. The flexible hose that he used is garage exhaust ventilation hose. I'm not sure where he got it, but here is a website that has all kinds of flexible hose:
http://www.canalrubber.com
http://www.canalrubber.com/26.html - page with the garage exhaust ventilation hose.
I'll see if I can get his email and let you know.
