Need help with Parts Interchange
I just received a Mid to Late 80s Moto-4 350 from my father-in-law for free so i am trying to bring this quad back to life so i can use it for the ranch and some trail riding. The motor turns over so now it is a matter of replacing most of the original parts.
I know they still sell things like the clutch discs and brakes, but what parts can i use for things like the shocks and carb? What other quad parts work with this machine? I know i need a new carb because this one has some broken parts and the shocks are shot. I also might need the centrifugal clutch assembly and other maintenance parts.
Any advice on where to start?

The 350 Big Bear and Moto 4 were almost identical, apart from 4WD, in fact a lot of Big Bears have Moto 4 cast into the mudguard plastics, so they must have shared plastics. Check the on-line parts books for shocks and carbs with the same part numbers, are you sure Yam dealers don't still stock them?

Update: my original shocks are 3hp-23350-00-33 while the shocks off an 89 big Bear are 3hn-23350-00-33. I think the shocks are the same but the Big Bear has a larger spring in the front I am guessing for the 4wd but I think it might work.
