warrior motor oil

i was wondering what kind of motor oil i should run in my warrior. i bought it used and the guy did not have the book. so i would like to run what yamaha says to or a better one i also need the weight of the oil to. thanks for your time and help.

My Clymer Manual says to use 10w-40. I run Castrol GTX 10w-30 in mine. As far as brand goes. A yamaha dealer will tell you to go with yamalube which I have used before. I usually run Castrol GTX though. Hope this helps some what.

I use Quaker State, 10w-30, and change it often.

I use a 20w-50 racing motor oil , Maxima, in mine. I have also used the Yamaha 4 stroke oil. I like to Yamalube the best but due to the cost, I stick with the Maxima. (4.50 as opposed to 7-8 dollars per quart)
