I is probably just me, but I grew up riding dirt bikes and now that I am on a Warrior I have a horrible time trying to get SMOOTH power w/ the thumb trigger. I don't want a twist throttle cause of the riding I do I think I will end up trying to move around and goose it at the wrong time. Anyone have any advice as to what I can do to improve this? I have noticed that coming out of hard left hand turns and trying to gas is a real pain and if the turn is rough that gets me bouncing and makes it even worse.

Thats odd. To me thumbs are way easier than twists. I have a terrible time with twist throttles. If I had a dirt bike I would probably put a thumb on it

It just takes a little getting used to, I guess.
I have been on riding quads since about 8, before that I rode an electric 3-wheeler, and I have no problem with thumb throttles.

I have only had dirtbikes since I was 9 and when I got my Blaster I just couldnt get the hang of the thumb either.I ordered a motion pro twist throttle and I have loved it! It hardly ever gives me problems because I do ride very hard. Every once and a while I will yank it not meaning to but it isnt bad.So I dont think that a twist would be a bad option for you.

Twists are cool on a dirtbike but I really do not care for them on a quad, had one on my old blaster, when I'd get the front end up I'd end up slipping or whatever and giving it more gas.. it was pretty sketchy for a while.. Thumb ones are cool cuz its easy to roost or bake a tire.. not that the blaster can bake a tire, but if it could I would (dont want to tear up my new tires... yet)

It takes time. You just have to give it time and during the time you'll learn how to use the thumb throttle in different situations. I ride both dirtbike and quad. Each type of throttle has it's advantages. I like the twist throttle but I have gotten used to and good with a thumb throttle. It will take MAYBE a month and you should be used to the thumb throttle. Once you learn how to use the thumb throttle, you'll never forget. You'll learn different techniques to use in differnt types of terrain, just like with the twist throttle. Just my opinion.
