Those babys look awesome! Are yours the piggyback style or remote and how much did you pay plus shipping? How do they work with your flipped relay arm, does your quad sit level? Thanks for the info.

I'd rather have ohlins, as far as I know the only raptor guys running ohlins are the ones using timmy boy extended a arms (supposedly they use 250r front shocks)
I love my TCS!

bash,

Yes they look cool, BUT looks aren't everything. If they are cheaper there is a reason, intro price my azz. I saw that they were on snowmoblies but as for quads I'd wait until their proven worth the $. There are TOO MANY aftermarket companies out there with huge promises on their products being best when they AREN'T. And way too many of us buy these products and end up unhappy.

This is in no way a cut against Elka shocks. They appear to manufacture a great middle-of-the-road suspension product. But they are not in the same league as Custom AXIS. Just from the pictures I can see many things that separate these two units.
Elka does not offer multi-rate springs. Only single rate. This is a major factor is you were to ever consider racing.
Adjustments on the Elka are made on the "chessy" blue turning ****. AXIS has a large adjuster that is labled for easy adjustments. No labels on the Elka.
AXIS are built with a foam rubber stopper at the bottom of the shaft to prevent harsh landings. Even if you bottom the shocks, there is no metal on metal contact. Elka does not.
The brushings on the Custom AXIS are much larger. The bodies on the AXIS are much larger. Custom AXIS shocks come with a technical manual to explain how to adjust, service, and maintain your new purchase. Ride height is adjustable without purchasing any extra parts on the side.
They are also an established company that has been making racing products for years.
Elka will be a welcome addition into the recreational/racing world. Thier products should suit 90% of rider's perfectly. But they are no Custom AXIS. They should give WORKS Preformance a good run for it's money though.

Just my 2 cents.....

From my source, Ohlins has just completed development on their shocks for the Raptor. That is the reason people don't have them yet, except for the ones that are using 250R shocks as mentioned above.

Is it true that Elka's are only single rate springs?
