Raptors at Southwick, Ma. Race
#1
It was a sunny day at Southwick and for going to a track and racing for the first time I was impressed at how the whole experience went. Found out there are some tuff luck it's racing stuff but hey what the heck. Anyway A bone stock raptor won the Open C class and another bone stock raptor tood 2nd overall in the 30+ class. That was the interesting class because the rider that won that race has not lost a race in over a year and had an awesome built 400ex. The guy on the Raptor was leading the 2nd moto until the last lap then he said he got too tired and the stock suspension was all over the track. All in all the raptors had a good showing, hopefully next time I'll do better a 17 & 10th out of 23 riders in my class. Not to bad for a first timer though. The real impressive guy I saw was a guy from Canada running in the pro class on a 250r that was truly dominating.

I was there and raced the Open Expert class. I got to watch a few Raptors going around the track. There were a few in front and few in the back of the pack. But I was glad that there was so many Raptors on the track.
I saw some of the pro race and I did not notice any one going fast enough to stand out. Now this is NOT a opinion based on my abilities, because the expert class is still faster than me.
But if you wanted to see some one truely ride fast at Southwcik, then you should have seen Spader 2 years ago. Now that was fast. I watched the national bikes there the same year, and I would bet that Spader would have beaten a lot of those guys that day.
Since Nacs is the sponser of the series for the year, I have heard that they will bring the Nacs pro team and trailer to the races that do not conflict with the GNC. Also, I understand that K&K will be bringing there team as well. It will be like a mini national race. Nacs will have Creech and Elza and K&K will have Spader and Gust.
