Check some fuses in the wiring harness, check the ground from the batt to the chassis and the chassis to the block. Clean the surface to bare metal and re tighten straps.

Unlikely but it could be one of theose three relays under the back of the seat near the tail light. One might cause relay for spark.

Otherwise the CDI that gens the spark may be bad. Don't think it's expensive.
