Default Are 1988-1990 Big Bear Front CV Axles Reversible?

I need a new left side but accidentally bought one for the right?

Later mid-90's models definitely seem to use the same axle on both side - not sure on mine.

Thanks

It's not out yet, and I haven't received the right side to compare yet.

The left also only really needs a CV boot, so I either have to order he boot ASAP or miss my weekend "install" window.

Can't really tell via the Yammy part nums. They break out every part in the axle into separate parts. Maybe a non-OEM web site might be able to tell but I haven't found one that does that.

The used one arrived last night - nothing obvious on it looks like it wouldn't fit - splines on both ends. Maybe the hubs threads are reversed or something.

Thanks

The only difference would be the length, some front diffs are not dead bang in the middle, so the bike needs a long and a short drive shaft. My guess would be same length both shafts. Check them side by side, don't forget the inner joint can slide in and out a couple of inches.

Just got it out. Didnt know all the diff fluid would drain out. Seems to be exact match.
Should the fluid have leaked out?
Thanks all for the research too.

Yes some diff oil leaks out as the level should be slightly above the bottom of the drive shaft. Top up after installing.
