What's faster? Raptor, or a 250 2-stroke dirtbike?

Assume a 200 pound rider on a 400 pound Raptor making 38 hp and you get 38/600 = .06333
Now, for the bike, the same rider is on a 215 pound bike making 45 hp you get 45/415 = .108 hp/weight ratio
As you can see, the HP/Weight ratios are dramatically different, the Raptor would get a better take-off (maybe) due to the fact that there is so much more tire applying power to the ground, and the bike would ride by like a rocket passing a school bus.
Stock for stock, top speed would probably be around the same numbers, but one could gear the bike similar to the Raptor and probably run close to 100mph.

Bunk! well I've raced a cr250 and my raptor didn't stand a chance. WE raced in a sand pitabout 300 yards and he took me right out of the hole and never seen my tires at all he beat me by at least 5 bikes now that bike had a pipe but i dont think it would of made much a difference. I was all stock. I don't beleive a 4wheeler can beat a 250 dirt bike but maybe a 125.

Just FYI, I raced my neighbors 98 banshee with my CR125 stock vs. stock and I could get him out of the hole, as well as top end. It was very, very close though. I got him by maybe 2 bike lengths in about 1/4 mile. So if the raptor is faster than a Banshee, then it will be even closer. Just my thoughs. Later.

last weekend i raced a 2001 yz 250 that a freind just bought.there was four of us racing the stock yz 250,new 520 ktm, modded banshee and my raptor that has a ful big gun and modded air box.we raced three times on dirt with real good traction for about 150 yards.me and the banshee run pretty much bar to bar it all depends on who gets off the line best,we beat the bikes off the line every time but both were right there by 3rd gear but the 250 didnt really seem to pull us after that, the 520 ktm however would pass us with the front tire still in the air,the thing just rips.but the most he beat us by was three lengths.later that day we raced the 250 probabley 5-6 times more and he won about half of them.basicly the 250 is faster you just gotta get as good of a start as the quads do.just dont go and tie into one of those 520 ktm's cause even if he has a lousy start hes goig to beat you.
