I had purchased what i thought was a 2003 big bear 400, but i removed the carb (because it wasnt starting and running properly) and noticed it is the carb off a big bear 350. I need to order a new one, but am wondering should I order the 350 carb or 400 carb? and how do I identify what engine i actually have, because the decals say big bear 400 but like i said it had the carb of a 350..

 

I'm fairly sure Yamaha cast the capacity of the cylinder onto it, on the base flange I think. Not sure how you know the carb isn't the right one. 2003 Bruin and 2003 Big Bear carbs look identical, though they have different part numbers.
