Default 2006 Raptor 700r starts idles but dies on any throttle

Hi All, my 2006 700r hasn't ran in about 3 years (due to me being away/not working on it) but I recently started trying to get it working again. It was not starting/backfiring so I checked the TPS and by turning it all the way clockwise I was just barely able to get it in spec. I got the reading to .71 and the range is .63-.73. Now she starts and idles not great but will stay idling. As soon as I touch the throttle she chokes and dies. Sometimes its a backfire and then dies. Somebody that owned this before or the shop I took it to did something weird with the TPS where the wires go right into the tps there is no plug. I did buy a new tps and a plug to wire in but is there any idea of what to check next?

Thanks!
