Default 2001 Blaster dies when opening it up

So when I open up my 2001 blaster after about 3rd or 4th gear going full out... the engine always seems to wanna die all of a sudden...?? It idles perfectly forever and seems to go slow fine in first and second. I dont get it. It seem to be fine a week or two ago. My gas mixture is and always was 40:1. Theres definitely gas getting into the carb.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
Brian

I would guess at a partially blocked main jet. Cleaning the carb out is the first thing to do. If that doesn't work, try a new plug. Other possibility is the exhaust getting plugged, and restricting the flow of gasses at high RPM, but this usually results in the engine just running out of power.
