I'm getting ready to order the White Brothers E-series slip on for my Raptor. I noticed that White Brothers sells different "heat shields" that protect any surrounding plastic from the heat that comes the discs. Has any had the E-series melt the Raptor plastic without buying the heat shield? (the heat shields cover 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock, or 9 o'clock to 12 o'clock, etc.)

I've had my E-Series for about 5 months now and hasn't melted the plastic. I do have the 6 clock shield but mostly to keep mud out in muddy conditions. And it looks good too. You can see a picuture of the whole thing following my signature.
