Despite having the shop manual I can't find anything about adjusting the rear brakes on a Raptor. I can push the pedal as far as my foot will bend but I barely get any braking. I had to adjust the emergency brake already so at first I assumed it was just a linkage problem. But they are hydraulic and therefore shouldn't need any adjustment as long as there is fluid in the master cylinder, which there is.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

Check your brake pads. They are probably wore out.

Did you bleed the brakes?
1. Check your pads first
2. If they seem ok, check your rear brake fluid.
3. Bleed the brakes.

You may need a helper to bleed them. I always have my wife help me because my arms aren't long enough.

Hydraulic disc brakes have no adjustment. Follow SandGod's advise.

If that doesn't firm the brakes up to your liking you may try going to stainless steel braided lines.

Thanks for all the replies. Its not that the brakes are mushy its that there just aren't any. I can barely feel anything with the pedal all the way down. The master cylinder is full, but there may be air in the line. I will definitely give SandGods technique a try on both the front and rear! The pad may also be gone but there aren't that many miles on it. I'll check them tomorrow too.

Thanks again,
