"it stops completely"

As in locks up, or you just loose drive? Either way it would seem you have a serious gearbox fault. As the bike won't change gear it is probably a selector problem, take the selector mechanism apart and check it for faults. If it all seems to be OK, take the gears apart, one or more will be broken or something jammed in the teeth.

Hey thanks for the reply, I've been looking for a repair manual to walk me through how to take out the gear box, and selector. I think I could take it apart slowly with pictures but a a write up or something would seriously. Help. Lol

You can often find a .pdf of the genuine Yamaha manuals on line, using Google. Even one for the wrong year would be OK as long as it is for a manual gearbox model. Yam manuals are tricky though as they seem to have brought out one for the first year of a model, then supplements in subsequent years, so the supplement for your year won't contain all the information covered in the earlier versions.
