Default 2002 Kodiak Rear Arm

Rear arm is rusted pretty bad. I caught it before it broke in two. A bad design if you ask me, plenty of holes on the top with no drain hole. My problem is, Yamaha discontinued making the part (5GH-22110-10-00). I can’t find one anywhere.

Just throwing it out there in case anyone has any suggestions. Maybe call Yamaha for a work around? I’m in a bad way…

A used arm, or get your existing one welded up. Honda have done the "discontinued" trick with lower front A Arms on the pre 2006 350, they too rust badly due to the plastic sheilds trapping mud. Only option with them is weld them back together.

Believe it or not, I can’t find a used one with the proper end flange to receive the break/hub unit. A welding job is my only option. Thanks for the reply. I’ll follow up…

Don’t forget to remove the footwells so you can easily take out the bolts from the bushings!

Good to see Kodi is ready for the trail and in time for deer season. See you on the next one Wolfie.
