Hi,
I'm having a hard time on deciding on which quad to get either the 400ex,banshee,raptor,ds650,or scrambler 400/500 2X4.I'm 5'9" 227Lbs.I have about a year of riding experience and I would be riding in dunes and trails.I have some questions about them such as:
1.Which one is the most reliable?
2.Which one will be better suited for the places i ride in and my riding experience?
3.Which one is easiest to turn?
4.Which one over heats the fastest?
5.For the owners of each machine what mods gave the best bang for your buck.
6.Which one powerslides the best?
7.Which one is the most stable?
8.Which one has the lest maintenance?
9.Which one is the fastest?
10.For owners of each machine what are the things u don't like the least and what mods did u do to fix it if u can?
11.Which one wheelies the best?
Thanks,
Dan
P.S.
Sorry for the questions but I really need to know.

Well if i lived out West and i was going to hit some dunes i would want a Banshee with paddle tires. You can also mod the Banshee to be just about as fast as anything and it's liquid cooled. You could get an old 250r but why not just get a new Banshee and slap some paddles on and hit the dunes.

The Raptor suspension is by fa superior to my banshee's. It wheelies like a dream, but is smaller (not that bad) and narrower than the shee. Once you sit on the Raptor, you really feel comfortable. In dunes, the 400ex is gonna be a dog, as well as the scramblers(and once modified, the 400 scram isn't all that reliable -> Xplor...is there something left of your piston?). I like the DS, bt haven't tested it yet.
There's no comparison between the Polari and any other sport quad. Even with aftermarket shocks (on the Polaris), you feel like you're flying when riding a Raptor.
The fun of the banshee is its wild engine. Once you "master" the massive arrival of power...you want more power and more and more. I ride on not so grippy areas, so my shee doesn't wheely...when I'm back to riding, I'll try the paddles on wet sand...I should have some grip.

Oh yeah,I forgot to mention that my shee can almost go anywhere the 400 scrambler 4x4 can. In MY opinion, it is more fun than anything else if the trail is minimally smooth. My dream would be a very twisty trail of dirt or hard pack, that I could powerslide everywhere. We have too many mudholes here.

the best advice i can give is to go ride them all.if the dealer wont let you ride one go somewhere else.five years ago i couldnt decide between a warrior,blaster,banshee,400 scrambler, and 300ex so i went out and the dealers let me take them for a short spin.ended up with a warrior.allthough i ordered my raptor without ever riding one.but i have took my raptor to the dealer i bought it from to let a potential ds650 buyer test ride a raptor so he could compare.
