I recently purchased my first ATV, a 2001 Blaster. This is the first ATV I have ever owned. I took it to Little Sahara this weekend and had a blast. I was just wandering if someone could tell me, a novice four-wheeler, how to increase the power or speed with minimal money and effort. Everything on the Blaster is stock.

Remove Air Box Lid?
Remove Baffle?

The best and quickest mod to do is to call and order a aftermarket pipe and silencer, and go from there a good set is like $300 but worth it, also what ever you do dont get DG. They suck. Get ProCircuit,PaulTurner,or FMF.

My wife has a 2001 blaster and we recently installed a FMF Fatty and silencer on it and it made a huge difference. This is a great way to get more power. Good luck.

Thanks for the help, recently installed pro circuit pipe and silencer. Huge difference, the dealer also suggested I rejet I did that as well. Once it is going, past first gear it runs great. But off the start it kinda "boggs down" any suggestions?

I would check the jetting if you are unfamiliar with this procedure you can go to www.blastercentral.com and read Jetting 101 , it is VERY helpful and very concise. Just my $.02 worth, also, i would recommend a set of Boyesen Power Reeds also, for $20 they help out some, they helped my throttle response a pretty decent bit whenever i put my Paul Turner pipe on. Hope this helps a little bit

Take of the air box lid get a UNI filter, get boyesen reeds they made a huge differance for me. But I paid like 35 from rocky mountain for mine. But dont be fooled into buying a ram vlave for 100-?? dollars. They make less of a differance than the plain old reeds. L8er.

Yes you should, at the very least to a plug-chop.

Never tried them.. I'd get nice alum. rims instead, they cant be much more $$ than the spacers.. Defintely get a diffrent air-filter if you are going to run it with the top off, the stock one sucks..

You can always change the sprokets, bigger front for more top-end, smaller for more bottom-end, rear bigger for low-end, smaller for top-end.. If that made any sense..

Also tires would be a good thing to buy, they were the best mod Ive done yet..
