First pick up a new plug and check to see if your current jetting is OK. What altitude are you at?? I'm at sea level and have the same slip-on and a pro design filter kit and I also cut the baffles out and I went up 2 sizes on the main jets and I'm still way too lean. I'm going to go with a 165 /160 main jet hoping I'm real rich then put in Uni air box vents until I'm right on the money.

Is there a website that has pictures step-by-step that shows how you can do it?

There isnt one that I know of. I took all the plastics, gas tank, airbox and unhooked the carb turned it over. There are four phillips head screws take the plate off you will have some gas come out depending on which jet you are replacing they are all right there under the plate its really easy but time consuming plan on about 2 hours to have it all done and running. Oh this is also a good time to clean out the dirt you cant get to with all the plastics on.
