Guys i've dogged my rims and have several questions before i replace them.

1. Should i replace with OEM and add bead protection.

2. Go with aftermarket.

If #2 is the answer, then what rims would you recommend.

Ultimatley: I would like to keep a pair of stocks for the track and invest in some beefy atermarkrts with new rubber for the trails. expensive, i know. but these stock rims can't handle the back trails in NH.

Any and all suggestions welcomed

The rolled edge stock wheels are stronger than .190's, I would go with the ITP edge series wheel or spring for some beadlocks!

Douglas Standard Aluminum Rolled Edges, by far the best bang for your money, or go with Beadlock which are very expensive.

That's what I have on my Raptor

I have douglas 190's with stiffner rings welded onto the outside edge. Most shops sell the rings.
they look kinda like beadlocks. You would probably bend the center of the wheel before you will crush a bead again.

I'm with Zebratrailer...

Get a set of Douglas .190's from OMF and tell them you want them with reinforcing rings welded in.

They'll look trick & be much stronger than OEM or rolled edge wheels at a lower cost.

From OMF, red labels with rings on both sides are about $95/ea.

Beadlocks are unnecessary unless you are fairly serious about racing and want to be able to ride aggressively on a flat without worrying about it de-beading.

You guys rock!! new set of stock would have cost me roughly $400. Called OMF and ordered Douglas 190 with reinforcing rings and bead protectors. $605. that should keep me from warping a rim when riding over inferior machines. Once again thanks. and to show my appreciation here is a tip... just got off the phone with acerbis and ordered a set of their rally2 hand-guards w/atv mounting kit. Just became available this week. Call now while they still have YZblue.
