Hey guys,
My '99 Warrior starts and runs good. After riding for about 3 minutes only, it bogs down when accelerating. It will idle just fine, but once I hit the gas a little it completely bogs down. If I hold the accelerater in, the engine will quit. If I let go quickly, then it will idle. Also if I let it idle for a minute or so the problem will go away and then return within 5 minutes. What could this be? Carbuerator? What can I check myself? Thanks
Tim

check your breather tube for obstruction,it sounds like its not getting air through the tube, had a similar problem. you should also take apart the carb and slide and blow out the jets (gently)the other fellas might be right ,you could have some garbage in the carb..did it sit all winter with gas in it? also check your air filter and see if its seated properly..maybe got blow by into the carb? carbs are pretty easy to take apart and put back together as long as you pay attention to what your doing..there not really made of much at all.I would still make sure its breathing through the tube on top of your gas cap..easy to tell..just hold it up to the light and see if vapor is coming out..if not its plugged.

On the reverse lever there is a green wire. Clean the connections to the lever and were the wires hook together. When water and junk gets in there it short circuts it and it cuts out. Also put some dielectric grease on the connections. That should take care of it. That was the same problem that my friend had and it worked for him.
