In the new July issue of Dirt Wheels there is a picture of a Maxxis racing team Orange Raptor. Well I looked at the sponsor decals and I noticed one of them was Maier. I went out to their site and it looks like they are getting ready to make Raptor replacement plastic in different colors. These are the colors they had listed on there site:black, white, red, yellow, dark blue, and zest orange. You can check it out here: http://www.maier-mfg.com/ So it looks like we will have some different color options coming soon.

I was at the Okeechobee race where that pic was taken. The bikes looked really good with the orange plastics and blue frames.

SWEEEEET!!!! I don't care for Maier quality, as compared w/ Acerbis or UFO, but hey! this is VERY GOOD news.
i just got my frame back from the powdercoater this week. it is jet black w/ a fine metallic flake that CHANGES color depending on your angle to the light!!! so it's black w/ a green flake or blue or purple etc depending. i figured that if/when plastic options become available, if would be a very trick look and give me unnumerable color combos and options. Looks like it will pay off!!! stoked. BTW, the powdercoating is many many times harder than that pathetic excuse for paint that yamaha put on. the only pain is completely stripping the bike doen to the bolt...but that was FUN for me. out.

I like the stock vents better too. I wonder if they just put the screen on there to protect the radiator from roost. Hopefully the production piece will have the radiator vents that are similar to the stock vents.
