I have a 2000 Polaris Trail boss and I want something lighter and faster. I have looked at a 250ex, 300ex, Blaster, and Mojave. I don't want to spend more than $4,000.
I've rode all but the Blaster,(well I rode it in a driveway, not out of 3rd gear) The 1997 Mojave(stock rebuild) had a little higher top speed than the 2001 300ex(FMF exhaust, jetted, razors) when ran side by side.
My question is a Blaster being a 2-stroke how long will it last before needing the motor rebuilt? If I put about $500 into a Blaster what kid of speed will it get me? How about the reliability?
I know these are commonly asked questions but I am new to this so any help would be nice.

~K&N jet kit with filter.
~RCR green spring & air box modification
~Oneal handle bars with Scott grips
~removed the rack
~removed rear mud flaps
~removed the front mud flaps
~still a TANK
~and it is for sale(with stock parts & extras)

2001 Kawasaki 220 Bayou(wifes)
~Removed the racks
~K&N power kit and Cobra exhaust on the way
~like it better than the Trailboss
