Does anyone use this, i ordered one, should be here soon, does it make any good difference in power, they have the little chart on the yamaha website, but it doesnt show numbers, also, my dealer said since the raptor has a high flow airbox i dont need a filter kit, is that true, one more thing, he said since it comes from yamaha i might not even need to rejet it, any help here? thanks

I took the airbox lid off and bought a dynojet kit. Works really well and I recommend doing the same. If you have the dealer order they dynojet kit it should be only about 60 bucks. If you just bolt it on without rejetting or doing anything to the airbox I dont think you are getting the full potential out of the system.

the dynojet kit is just new jetting. Go to dynojet.com to see info on it.

I can't comment on the exhaust (good luck if it is on backorder!) but I am positive that the filter kit (pro-design?) will be a much better set-up than the stock one. The POS stock filter set-up will have you rebuilding your top-end prematurely from unfiltered dirt and debris.

Well, its too late to change the order, but did your cousins pipe make a difference in power? and did he have to rejet? i could put a pipe on,but i dont know anything about jetting so i would have to pay for that

just to let you all know i have the carbon fiber gytr and the first time i took it out the spark arrestor (screen)collasped and bunched up at the end so i had to remove it,made it restricted, so keep an eye on it. as far as proformance i personally don't think any aftermarket pipe makes a noticeable difference,i think its just the sound that makes everyone belive they make power.

I've been running the GYT-R carbon fiber silencer since last fall.....I LOVE IT!!! Seems to have helped throttle response down low, yet really woke things up on top.... didn't have to rejet, the plug is just about perfect.... still have the stock airbox for now...
My pipe also 'rejected' it's spark arrestor a while back, but I run the stock muffler as needed. It's loud, but it makes a lot of power, which I need for harescrambles..... I run in the Quad A class and led the last race start to finish!!! it ripes!!!
you won't be dissapointed with the pipe, that's for sure.

garyc660r, hey they are on back order, so instead of waiting they let me change my order to the full system from pro circuit, the head pipes and silencer and everything, 550 bucks compared to 212 for the gyt-r, but hopefully this will do more, does anyone have any experience with the pro circuit pipes?
