Raptor 2nd gear
#1
HEllo, i own a 2001 Yamaha raptor. I have some questions on the raptor's tranny bug.
What seems to cause thi sproblem, and are there preventitive measures? also, does every raptor have this problem, or is it a machining error at the factory? I bought mine 2 months ago. I hope mine diden't come with the problem. is there any warning signs of danger? Please reply with any information on thsi topis. thanks

Sprinkle it with holy water and hope to hell it doesn't break on you....Hey dude, if it's gonna happen, there's not much you can do outside of not beating the heck out of your trans like some of these other guys may be doing. I'm hoping for good luck just like you.

I dont believe I BEAT my tranny, but they (yamaha) say to come to a complete stop before shifting to a foreward gear, And ajust the rev. cable so loose that you have to twist the **** all the way, to engage it. And the holy water idea is a good idea too!
