Why does my banshee skip a gear???

WHEN I JUST RIDE AROUND IT'S OK, BUT WHEN I FIRE IT UP IT WONT SWITCH FROM 4TH TO 5TH. I HAVE TO PICK UP ON THE SHIFTER A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE IT GOES INTO 5TH. AROUND HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST TO FIX OR COULD I DO IT MYSELF?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

Sounds like a messed up shift star. They make better than stock replacements, but I've heard of people fixing them by rounding over the points a little bit with a dremel tool.

Go to www.macdizzy.com, and do a search in the banshee section of the message board. Ir ead what the new radius should be...any machine shop should be able to do that

You could have a bent shifting fork. Have it checked out at the shop.
