I have a set of stock rims off a '97 Kodiak. How big of a mud tire can I put on those?? I am looking at the Titan 589s.

Thanks,
Mike

you should be able to go to 27" tires safely. If you go too wide on the front, it'll make the steering harder, especially in 4WD. I have 26x9x12 on the front and 26x12x12 on the rear. The front tires rub when the wheels are turned all the way to the left.

KodiakAmy, I am looking at replacing my stock tires with the 26" 589's - how much difference in power have you noticed with the larger tires? Also you mention that the tires rub when turned all the way to the left, how bad is it?

Thanks,
