Anyone know or heard rumors if there will be any changes for the 2002 model Kodiak? If so let's hear 'em.

You betcha....and this comes from a close personal friend that is an engineer at Yamaha. The 2002 will offer two additional colors, purple and yellow. Due to advances in engine technology, the engine will be a 300cc and weigh in 75lbs less.

Only a 300cc???!!! Sorry but I'll pass on that one. Why not a better technology 400cc??? I think it'll hurt the Kodiak going from 400cc to 300cc. Just makes no sense to me. Nope, me no likey...

Sorry lads to burst your bubble but here in Canada we got the 2002 kodiak in the spring, the new colour is black with silver trimming. It is the same as the 2001 other than that. That's the only 2002 out here till this week coming.
My dad really likes it, he got 27inch blackwaters put on it, wow can they throw the mud. Don't have the power of the grizz though, no match. But it is a good machine and can hold its own.

2000 Grizz
3000 km's and not a hickup.
